May Oshea

MA Student

May Oshea earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas in 2021. Her fascination with food history as an undergraduate student motivated her to pursue a master's degree in history at UNT. She is a dedicated master's student with a keen interest in 20th-century American history. Throughout her academic journey, she has honed strong research and analytical skills and is particularly enthusiastic about applying these skills to explore the history of displaced Asian Americans and the preservation of Asian identity in America through food.  Oshea recently presented her original research, "Pho: from Hanoi to America," at the UNT Graduate Student Food Symposium.
